John Bocci

John migrated to Alaska in 1977 and has been commercial fishing and handling boats in Alaska ever since. He holds a 100 Ton Masters license for near-shore waters. With over forty years of experience with the wind in his face, he has developed a deep respect and keen appreciation for the balancing act between man and the natural world. In the off-season, he divides his time between winter sports, a lighthouse preservation project, and enjoying the culture and cuisine of other countries through travel. After many Alaska winters, he’s lately finding a new interest in the backcountry of Baja and trying not to drown while learning to kiteboard.
