After breakfast, embark on a scenic four-hour drive to Agra, a city renowned for its rich Mughal heritage and architectural wonders. In the afternoon, visit Sheroes Hangout Café, an inspiring community space run by acid attack survivors, where you can enjoy tea, coffee, and handcrafted souvenirs while supporting women empowerment initiatives.

Later, head to Mehtab Bagh, a tranquil Mughal garden offering a breathtaking sunset view of the Taj Mahal across the Yamuna River. Designed by Persian architect Ustad Isa, the Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a tribute to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, this white marble masterpiece took 22 years to complete and is celebrated for its intricate inlay work, symmetrical domes, and exquisite calligraphy.

Rise early to witness the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the first light casts a golden glow over its white marble façade—a bucket-list experience for photographers and travelers alike. After breakfast, explore the Agra Fort, an imposing red sandstone fortress that served as the seat of Mughal power for generations. Enclosed by 70-foot-high walls spanning 1.5 miles, the fort houses ornate palaces, grand audience halls, and intricately designed mosques, offering a deep dive into Mughal history and architecture.

In the afternoon, return to Delhi for your final night in India, reflecting on the awe-inspiring history and beauty of Agra.

Not Included

  • Carbon offsets for your flights to/from this trip.
  • All airfare airport and departure taxes, and excess baggage fees. Round-trip airfare is approximately $1,200 to $1,400 between the US and Delhi.
  • Passport and visa fees.
  • Divergent airport transfers (arranged by us) and extra hotel nights.
  • Gratuities – tipping is always discretionary. However, we suggest budgeting about $30 participant per day for 3 days with our leaders. ($90 total per participant).
  • Optional trip cancellation insurance.
  • Items of a personal nature such as laundry, telephone calls, medical costs or hospitalization, room service, alcoholic and other beverages, items not on the regular menu, etc. If you have special dietary needs, please indicate them on your Traveler Form.

Climate

Temperatures generally range from around 59°F at night to 89°F during the day. Although it is the dry season, rain is possible.

This trip requires good energy levels but no rigorous exercise.  Please contact us if you have any health concerns that may make this trip challenging.
