The Gallant Lady

with Cheesemans' Ecology Safaris

General Information

The Nautilus Gallant Lady is a 116-foot, yacht-style liveaboard designed for comfort, safety, and an immersive wildlife experience in the Sea of Cortez. With a shallow draft and quiet engine operation, she’s well-suited for exploring remote coves and wildlife-rich coastlines where larger vessels cannot venture. Her state-of-the-art navigation and safety systems, combined with her robust steel hull, provide both stability and security for all onboard.

Purpose-built for small groups, the Gallant Lady accommodates just 12 guests, ensuring a personalized and uncrowded experience. Her eco-friendly design supports Cheesemans’ commitment to low-impact travel, making her an ideal platform for experiencing the Sea of Cortez’s incredible biodiversity, from Blue Whales and dolphins to nesting seabirds and endemic desert flora.

Accommodations

Guest comfort is a top priority aboard the Gallant Lady. The ship features six large staterooms, each outfitted with individual climate control, private ensuite bathrooms, and either queen or California king beds. Panoramic windows in select cabins offer natural light and stunning sea views, while high-quality linens and thoughtful design touches elevate the onboard experience.

Common areas include a spacious salon with wraparound windows and a sundeck perfect for wildlife watching or relaxing between excursions. The onboard chef prepares gourmet meals with fresh ingredients, and the attentive crew is committed to delivering warm, personalized service throughout the voyage.

Deck Plan

The Gallant Lady features three decks, each thoughtfully laid out to maximize space, comfort, and function. The lower deck houses guest cabins, providing a quiet and private retreat. The main deck includes the salon, dining area, and bridge, creating a central gathering space for briefings, meals, and wildlife viewing.

The top deck offers ample outdoor space with cushioned seating, shaded areas, and an observation platform—ideal for scanning the horizon for dolphins, whales, and seabirds. This open design allows guests to enjoy uninterrupted views and makes transitions between indoor comfort and outdoor adventure seamless and easy.
