Marine Mammals and Seabirds
Monterey Bay
July 11, 2021

Safari Overview
Sail the deep-water canyons of Monterey Bay for a full day of wildlife and whalewatching with marine specialists. The California Coast is one of the best locations to observe seabirds such as shearwaters, jaegers, skuas, alcids, and even black-footed albatross. Sea otters play around in the kelp forests and humpback whales often feed and breach close to the ship! Bring your binoculars to look for Pacific white-sided, common, and Risso’s dolphins and perhaps even a northern right whale dolphin or the largest animal on the planet – the blue whale. We sail aboard the comfortable Star of Monterey. These popular trips fill very quickly, so please contact us early for reservations.
Please arrive at Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey by 7:40 am. The ship departs the dock at 8 am sharp, no exceptions, and returns about 4 pm.
We will send you complete details and directions about your day on Monterey Bay.
Note: Cheesemans’ are members of World Cetacean Alliance and abide by responsible whale watching practices.
