Tiger Safari Adventure in India: A Journey of Majestic Sightings

Are you ready to embark on a wildlife adventure like no other? Join us as we explore the incredible world of tigers and other exotic creatures on a thrilling journey through the heart of India’s wilderness during our March 2023 trip to India!

March 21: Arrival in Delhi

Upon arriving in Delhi, either from their preceding Nepal trip or directly from their homes, travelers were met by our local agent who facilitated their transfer from the airport to the hotel. For those who arrived earlier, arrangements were made for divergent airport transfers and additional nights to accommodate any early arrivals, ensuring a seamless transition into the Indian adventure that awaited them.

March 22: Journey to Ranthambhore National Park

The day commenced with a satisfying breakfast at the hotel before travelers embarked on a picturesque train journey to Ranthambhore National Park in Rajasthan. The ride offered glimpses of India’s diverse landscapes as they made their way to the wildlife sanctuary where they would spend the next five days immersing themselves in the natural wonders of the region.

“The tiger viewing was wonderful. We had 22 tiger sightings. But the local Indian guides were totally focused on tiger viewing. On days that they stated that we would spend time looking for other wildlife, we didn’t get much time to do this. As soon as a tiger sighting was reported, the driver would head to the location of the tiger sighting.” -Ken & Mary Campbell

March 23–27: Exploring Ranthambhore National Park

Ranthambhore National Park, celebrated for its thriving tiger population, became the focal point of travelers’ explorations during this leg of the journey. Game drives through the park’s varied terrain presented ample opportunities to observe and appreciate the majestic tigers, as well as an array of other wildlife species including jackals, mongooses, sloth bears, and elusive leopards. Each day brought new adventures and thrilling wildlife encounters, making for unforgettable experiences in the heart of India’s wilderness.

“It was early in the morning and most of the other vehicles had already entered the park ahead of us. We had just entered the park (Ranthambore) and our driver heard a monkey’s alarm call. We looked to the side in the woods and there was a tiger standing there. The driver pulled forward as the tiger came out of the woods and the tiger followed along the road behind our vehicle for an extended period of time. Eventually another 2 vehicles showed up behind the tiger. It was amazing!” -Ken & Mary Campbell
